Back pain · spine
We start with a structured programme, add a targeted injection where it helps, and keep surgery for the few who need it. When they do, it is done through the smallest opening that will do the job.
Have an MRI already? Send it to us and our surgeons will have a look.
Each step is offered only when the one before it has not been enough. Most patients never get past the first.
A supervised programme, planned by the surgeon and run by our physiotherapists, with progress reviewed at set points. It is the treatment that helps the most people, and the one we start with.

Surgery is for nerve pain that has not settled, weakness that is getting worse, or a disc that has stopped you living normally. Small incisions, less muscle disturbed, and most patients walking the same day.

Some spines need more than a small operation: a segment that has become unstable, or a curve that is progressing. These are planned carefully, with the reasons and the recovery explained before you decide.
